Փետրվարի 12-16-ը Մեքսիկայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արա Այվազյանն աշխատանքային այցով գտնվում էր Կոստա Ռիկայում։ Փետրվարի 13-ին կայացավ երկրի նախագահ Կառլոս Ալվարադո Կեսադայի (Carlos Alvarado Quesada) կողմից ռեզիդենտ և համատեղության կարգով հավատարմագրված դիվանագիտական կորպուսին Նոր տարվա ողջույնի պաշտոնական արարողությունը, որին մասնակցեց նաև Հայաստանի դեսպանը։ Այցի ընթացքում հանդիպումներ տեղի ունեցան երկրի օրեն

Օգոստոսի 24-ին Հոլիվուդի «Փառքի ծառուղում» բացվեց աշխարհահռչակ շանսոնյե Շարլ Ազնավուրի անունով աստղը: Այդ կապակցությամբ ամերիկյան հայտնի «Variety» ամսագիրը հատուկ նյութ է նվիրել Շարլ Ազնավուրին, նրա գործունեությանը՝ զետեղելով մեծանուն արվեստագետին հասցեագրված շնորհավորանքներ: Ամսագրում տպագրվել է նաև ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարի շնորհավորական ուղերձը:
