Dear compatriots, We congratulate all of us on Independence Day.  On this day 28 years ago, the Armenian people, standing up for the national democratic movement, declared its independent statehood.

On September 20 Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met Foreign Minister of Artsakh Masis Mayilyan.

On September 20, Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan received the delegation headed by Elias Bou Saab, Minister of National Defense of the Lebanese Republic.

On September 20, on the initiative of the Armenian National Committee of Australia Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met Tim Wilson, member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia.

On September 19, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the delegation led by Katarína Mathernová, Deputy Director-General for European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission.

The counterparts commended existing cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania and reiterated their determination to continue the joint effort to further enrich the bilateral agenda.

For further deepening reforms we have discussed that as well and of course some interesting experience of both sides that we would certainly want to share and to hear each other.  

On September 18, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who was on an official visit in Riga, visited the University of Latvia, where he delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Latvia.

We have very good dynamics of bilateral relations with Lithuania, we regularly discuss various issues at different bilateral meetings and we have an excellent dialogue and good report with my colleague and friend Minister Linkevičius.

On September 17, the delegation headed by Minister Mnatsakanyan visited Riga Castle where they were received by Egils Levits, the president of Latvia.
