Side event on the margins of the 61st Session of the HRC: “Enhancing Coherence and Follow-Up in Human Rights Implementation through Digital Tools”
24 February, 2026On February 24, in Geneva, during the session of the Human Rights Council, a side event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Danish Institute for Human Rights under the theme “Enhancing Coherence and Follow-Up in Human Rights Implementation through Digital Tools․”
Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan delivered the opening remarks at the event. In his speech, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the process of protecting human rights requires an effective combination of strong political will and practical steps, which is reflected in the democratic reform initiatives being implemented by the Government of Armenia.
Subsequently, a panel discussion took place with the participation of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghormonyan, along with representatives from the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. In his remarks, the Deputy Minister presented AI-NEMRA, a new digital tool developed by Armenia as a national platform to strengthen international accountability in the field of human rights.
