The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa handed over the copies of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister

On December 4, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Grigor Hovhannisyan received Andre Johannes Groenwald, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, on the occasion of presenting his credentials (residence Kyiv).

Deputy Foreign Minister wished the Ambassador success in his mission and expressed hope that it would contribute to the deepening and expansion of bilateral relations.

Grigor Hovhannisyan touched upon the democratic developments taking place in Armenia as well as presented the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy.

Deputy Foreign Minister and the Ambassador attached importance to enhancing the political dialogue and undertaking practical steps to explore and assess economic opportunities between the two countries, to outline perspectives of development of cooperation in the field of information technology, jewelry, tourism, diamond industry, winemaking, pharmacy, and other spheres.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, as well as a number of issues of international and regional agenda.
