The meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Malta

On September 24, on the margins of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with his Maltese counterpart, Carmelo Abela. 

The sides expressed readiness to undertake practical steps towards developing and expanding partnerships in the promising fields of cooperation, such as trade and economics, agriculture, IT, creative education and innovations. They underlined the importance of joint efforts to create respective platforms of interaction for actors involved.

At the end of the meeting, the sides signed the Agreement between the Governments of Armenia and Malta for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion. According to the Foreign Ministers, the signing of this agreement is the first step towards bringing the business circles of the two countries closer and creating favorable conditions for their cooperation.
