Meeting of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with the Foreign Minister of Poland

On December 5, while on a working visit to Milan, acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

The Foreign Ministers discussed a number of issues of bilateral and multilateral agenda. Both sides expressed readiness to take concrete steps aimed at further enrichment of agenda for cooperation, based on centuries of partnership and mutual respect between Armenia and Poland. In this regard the sides emphasized the active role of the Armenian community in Poland.

The Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the partnership between Armenia and the European Union. In this context, Mnatsakanyan noted that the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, which serves as the legal basis of relations with the EU and EU member states, is a useful tool for advancing ongoing reforms in Armenia. The interlocutors shared the view that the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership is a good opportunity for evaluating achievements made in this format and for imbuing existing cooperation with new substance.

Acting Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan presented the ongoing reform agenda of the Government of Armenia based on its broad mandate of people, highlighting the priority of holding trustworthy elections which reflect the will of the people. Among the priorities of the Government of Armenia the acting Foreign Minister outlined the development agenda, which, among other things, is based on the spheres of high technology, creative education and innovation.
