On October 10, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Rwandan Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, who is in Armenia to participate in the 35th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that he is happy to welcome his Rwandan colleague to Yerevan once again after meeting with her in August. Touching upon the bilateral agenda, the two stressed their readiness to take practical steps towards intensification of relations between the two states and deepening of sectoral cooperation in key areas such as the digital economy, information technology, and innovation.

Noting that a comprehensive development of relations with African countries is one of Armenia’s key foreign policy priorities, the head of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry expressed hope that the 35th ministerial conference and the 17th summit of La Francophonie would give a new impetus to enhancing multilateral cooperation within the framework of the organization as well as outlining prospects for strengthening and deepening bilateral ties between member states.
