Foreign Minister of Armenia met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia

On September 27, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.

The counterparts discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda, expressing readiness to take practical steps for efficiently using the existing great potential to develop relations and to discover new areas of cooperation. In this regard, the consultations between the Foreign Ministries of both countries were highlighted.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cambodia discussed the steps aimed at strengthening cooperation on international platforms, especially within the framework of the international Organization of La Francophonie.

Minister Mnatsakanyan noted that La Francophonie is a good platform for Armenia in terms of exploring the ways of cooperation in the South Asian region. Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed on the preparations for the upcoming OIF Summit in October in Yerevan, the agenda and the planned side events.

At the end of the meeting, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Prak Sokhonn signed a Memorandum of Understanding on holding political consultations between the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.
