The remarks by Minister Edward Nalbandian during the reception dedicated to the visit of Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, and opening of the Office of the Honorary Consul of Luxembourg

27 March, 2018

Your Excellency Minister Asselborn,
Dear Ambassadors,
Ladies and gentlemen,

I kindly welcome in Armenia my colleague and also a good friend Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg. This visit is a good opportunity to summarize the bilateral and multilateral agenda of our relations, as well as outline new perspectives of cooperation.

The fame of Luxembourg exceeds the size of that country thanks to its active foreign policy, its effective diplomatic presence in international arena, impressive economic success. In today's world, along with the size of the country, if not more, then at least not less important is how reliable, principled, consistent, and predictable that country is.

In Luxembourg, Armenia has a consistent, principal and reliable partner both on bilateral and multilateral platforms. Dear colleague, dear friend, hereinafter you can be assured that Armenia’s approach is deeply mutual.

Dear Minister,
Ladies and gentlemen,

Relations between Armenia and Luxembourg have a great potential for development, and full utilization of that potential should be considered the priority of our agenda. And the opening of the Office of the Honorary Consul is one of the important steps in that direction.

I assure that we will spare no effort to further deepen, develop and enhance the mutually beneficial and comprehensive cooperation between our countries.

Thank you.
