On September 4, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Ani Avetisyan met with Deputy Minister of Trade of Iraqi Kurdistan Sarwar Kamal Hawari.

During the meeting opportunities for the further development of economic relations between Armenia and Iraq were discussed, particularly, Iraqi Kurdistan, increasing trade turnover and promoting deeper engagement between business communities.

Ani Avetisyan presented the new functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia,  the resulting priorities and key directions of activity, emphasizing the importance of promoting foreign economic relations and economic diplomacy.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the high level of existing trade and economic relations and exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening cooperation.
