Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

On June 17, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Monica Juma, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The interlocutors commended the cooperation established between Armenia and UNODC. The willingness to further enhance cooperation in addressing transnational crime, advancing the criminal justice system and combating cybercrime.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the importance of the expertise and continuous implementation of projects of the UNODC, aimed at developing the institutional capacities of Armenia.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for implementing joint initiatives in the lead-up to and within the framework of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, to be hosted by Armenia.
