On March 18, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Siphandone Oybouabouddy, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the Republic of Armenia (residency in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Congratulating Ambassador Oybouabouddy on the assumption of his tenure, the Deputy Foreign Minister wished him productive work during his mission.

The interlocutors discussed a range of issues on the bilateral agenda, expressing readiness to deepen cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science, education, technology, culture, and other areas of mutual interest. Views were also exchanged on deepening cooperation within multilateral platforms.

During the meeting, regional issues were discussed, in the context of which the Deputy Foreign Minister presented the steps aimed at the further institutionalization of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Mnatsakan Safaryan emphasized the significance of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and its key component - the "TRIPP" project in unblocking regional communications, as well as the new economic opportunities that would arise from their implementation.
