Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated in the international conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the adoption of UN SC Resolution 1325

On December 1, Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan participated and delivered opening remarks at the international conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, organized by the NGO “Democracy Today”.

In his remarks, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in 2000 was pivotal in reassessing the role of women in conflict prevention, resolution and post-conflict recovery processes.

Robert Abisoghomonyan reaffirmed the commitment of Armenia to ensuring the full, equal and meaningful participation of women and girls across all spheres of public and political life.

The progress achieved by Armenia in the context of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, as well as the Third National Action Plan of Armenia on Women, Peace and Security were touched upon.
