The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Davit Karapetyan received the Director of the First Bilateral Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Uldis Mikuts and the Ambassador of Latvia to the Republic of Armenia (residence: Tbilisi) Edīte Medne.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to bilateral relations and exchanged views on opportunities for deepening cooperation in cybersecurity, food security, good governance, digitalization and other areas, as well as on countering hybrid threats and disinformation.

Davit Karapetyan underscored the importance of the Government of Armenia’s "Crossroads of Peace" initiative and its key component, the «TRIPP route» project in the context of unblocking regional communications, as well as the new economic opportunities that their implementation will create. 

The Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue and the process of normalizing Armenia-Türkiye relations were also touched upon.
