On November 20, in Kigali, on the margins of the 46th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Esmeralda Mendonça, Secretary of State for External Affairs of Angola.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects of enhancing bilateral cooperation and advancing political dialogue between Armenia and Angola. In this vein, expanding the legal framework between the two countries was emphasized. The discussion also touched upon cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, including in trade and economic affairs, education, digitalisation, innovation and information technologies. 

The deepening of collaboration between the two countries within multilateral platforms and international organizations was underscored.

The parties also discussed the preparatory work for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity to be held in Yerevan in 2026 and potential avenues for cooperation within its framework.
