On November 13, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan received Monica Sandri, the newly appointed Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Armenia and Head of the UNHCR Armenia, on the occasion of handing over her letter of accreditation.

Congratulating the Head of the UNHCR Armenia on the occasion of her appointment, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia voiced his assurance that under her leadership, cooperation with the Office will grow even more robust.

During the meeting, the parties commended the close and effective partnership established between Armenia and the UNHCR.

The efforts undertaken and progress achieved in addressing the needs of refugees were touched upon, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the continuity of programmes aimed at promoting the policy of development and integration.
