Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan with joint Delegation of the European External Action Service and Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood of the European Commission

On October 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with the EU delegation headed by Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service Audrone Perkauskiene and Director for Neighbourhood East and Türkiye of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood of the European Commission Adrienn Kiraly.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the European Union, welcoming the finalization of negotiations on the Partnership Agenda and discussed the timeframes of its adoption.

It was highlighted that the active political dialogue and mutual high-level visits have yielded considerable advancements in deepening the partnership between Armenia and the European Union. Both sides emphasized the importance of implementing mutually beneficial projects aimed at promoting economic and transport connectivity, which can be strongly endorsed and further reinforced by the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as by the agreements reached in Washington, in August. 

Possibilities for cooperation in a number of areas were also discussed, including views on mechanisms for countering current hybrid threats.
