On October 28, within the framework of his working visit to Armenia, Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) delivered a lecture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia for the students of the Diplomatic School and young diplomats. 

The opening remarks were delivered by Davit Karapetyan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Expressing appreciation to Executive Secretary Floyd for his readiness to deliver a lecture, Davit Karapetyan underscored the importance of holding meetings in such a format and highlighted the cornerstone role of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty in the international disarmament and non-proliferation processes.

Within the framework of the lecture Robert Floyd delivered a presentation on the activities of the Organization, global efforts aimed at  the universal implementation of its objectives, as well as the existing challenges and opportunities. In this context, the importance of the international monitoring system and Armenia's participation in it was emphasized.

The lecture was followed by a Q&A session and productive discussion with the participants.
