Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands

On September 17, within the framework of his visit to the Netherlands, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Foreign Minister of the Netherlands David Van Weel. The ministers had discussions first in tete-a-tete format, followed by an enlarged meeting with the participation of their delegations.

Ararat Mirzoyan and David Van Weel discussed joint activities aimed at deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands, including through the implementation of the Joint Declaration signed between the two countries in March.

The interlocutors exchanged views on opportunities to expand economic cooperation and business ties alongside active political dialogue. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the Netherlands’ support for developing trade capacities and expanding access to the European market, as well as the additional financial allocation to Armenia within the framework of the World Bank’s Global Concessional Financing Facility.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia places great importance on cooperation with the Netherlands within the Armenia-EU partnership framework. In this context, discussions focused on steps to deepen the partnership and strengthen Armenia’s resilience through the consistent application of EU existing mechanisms.

Cooperation on multilateral platforms was also touched upon

The foreign ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands exchanged views on international and regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan, expressing gratitude for the Netherlands’ stance regarding the important agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, provided details of those arrangements .
