On September 2, within the framework of the "Bled Strategic Forum", Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Republic of Slovenia Melita Gabrič.

The interlocutors commended the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Slovenia and stressed the importance of maintaining and deepening the continuity of contacts.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, economy, investment, science, education, information technologies, tourism and other fields. Vahan Kostanyan highly appreciated the humanitarian programs implemented by Slovenia in Armenia.

The interlocutors also touched upon Armenia-EU relations and in this context emphasized the importance of studying the Slovenian experience of EU membership.

The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed on the agreements reached during the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process in Washington, and also presented Armenia’s vision regarding the next steps toward institutionalizing peace.
