Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Georgia
21 August, 2025On August 21, the regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia were held in Yerevan, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Lasha Darsalia.
During the consultations, the sides emphasized the continuous deepening of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, and attached importance to high-level mutual visits and contacts between Armenia and Georgia.
The parties touched upon bilateral economic cooperation, a wide range of issues on tourism, transport, energy, trade and investments, strengthening cultural and educational ties, cooperation in international organizations, and expanding the legal framework.
The sides also discussed issues concerning regional peace and cooperation, in the context of which Vahan Kostanyan briefed his counterpart on the results of the meeting of the leaders of the Republic of Armenia, the United States and Azerbaijan held in Washington on August 8.
