On July 17, in the Hague, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Ron Ton, the Director of Clingendael Academy.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the long-standing and effective cooperation established between the Republic of Armenia and the Clingendael Academy.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the Academy’s continued support to Armenia, particularly in the areas of capacity-building and expert assistance.

The meeting also touched upon potential avenues for cooperation between Armenia and the Academy within the margins of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Yerevan in 2026. The Deputy Minister briefed on the vision of Armenia for the organization of COP17 and the ongoing preparatory efforts.
