Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic

On June 11, within the works of the “GLOBSEC” conference held in Prague, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Marian.

The parties expressed content with the high level of political dialogue between the two countries. The sides shared insights on the upcoming bilateral cooperation agenda, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the economic field.

The interlocutors touched upon the prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing the support provided by the Czech Republic to this end. Deputy Minister Kostanyan thanked Czechia for supporting the launch of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue, while also stressing the importance of addressing the hurdles currently existing in the process of issuing visas to citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting the ongoing developments in the South Caucasus were also touched upon. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia presented to his Czech counterpart the current state of the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey normalization processes, reaffirming Armenia's political will to normalize relations with its neighbors.
