On May 27, on the sidelines of the “Yerevan Dialogue” forum, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Benin. Delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Benin Ambassador Franck Armel Afoukou respectively.

During the consultations, the parties touched upon a wide range of topics of bilateral relations, including prospects of deepening cooperation in education, Information Technologies, healthcare, agriculture, capacity building and developing trade-economic ties. 

The parties noted with satisfaction the cooperation within international organisations and exchanged views on further enhancement.

Two delegations also discussed regional developments in the South Caucasus and Sub-Saharan Africa.
