On May 12, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Li Xinwei, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting steps and upcoming activities aimed at expanding bilateral partnership between Armenia and China were discussed. “Armenia and China are currently undergoing a significant phase in the development of the relations, both in terms of high-level political dialogue and cooperation in the economic and other sectors, and I highly value the full realization of the existing opportunities,” Minister Mirzoyan emphasized.

Topics on cooperation within various international platforms were touched upon.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on international and regional developments. Both sides underlined the importance of developing mutually beneficial partnerships during the current period, which is marked by uncertainties but also is full of opportunities.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Li Xinwei discussed issues on the development of regional connectivity networks, in the context of which the growing interest towards the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia was noted.
