The newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

On February 13, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Deman Mohamed Hamar, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Armenia (residence in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Hamar on his appointment, wishing him fruitful tenure for the benefit of expanding and strengthening the cooperation between Armenia and Mauritania.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues on further promotion of political dialogue between Armenia and Mauritania, activation of contacts between the Foreign Ministries, as well as cooperation in the economic, educational, and cultural spheres were discussed.

The Deputy Minister briefed his interlocutor on the security situation in the region, as well as Armenia's efforts aimed at establishing peace and security.
