On September 20, within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan had a meeting with Miguel Angel Moratinos, the High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.

The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the details of the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, the consequences of September 19 large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh following a 10-month illegal blockade.

Vahe Gevorgyan particularly underscored the threats looming over the Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage of Nagorno-Karabakh and the imperative of active involvement of international actors for the protection of cultural values.
