An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia

On June 2, an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia (July 17, 1992) was held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall with the participation of ensembles from the Tbilisi State University after Ivane Javakhishvili.

The event was attended by officials and representatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organizations accredited to Armenia.

During the event Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Chargé d'Affaires of Georgia to Armenia Irakli Kvanchakhadze delivered welcoming remarks.

In his remarks, Paruyr Hovhannisyan noted that Armenia and Georgia have a common history of millennia and civilizational commonalities, which are solid basis for Armenian-Georgian relations. The Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that there are high-level relations between Armenia and Georgia, which is evidenced by the reciprocal visits at the highest level. In his speech, Paruyr Hovannisian noted that the 30th anniversary is a good opportunity to summarize the way passed, to make efforts to complement it with new achievements, which will be aimed at further strengthening the existing neighborly relations between Armenia and Georgia, and deepening cooperation in various areas.
