The phone conversation of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia

On April 29, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov. 

The interlocutors commended the results of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia to Russia, reaffirmed the commitment of the sides to the provisions of the joint statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin issued on April 19.

The Foreign Ministers discussed the implementation process of the commitments undertaken by the Trilateral Statements of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2020, and touched upon the establishment of the Commission on Demarcation and Border Security between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Ararat Mirzoyan reiterated the position of Armenia on the processes aimed at establishing regional peace and stability and negotiations on a comprehensive peace agreement with Azerbaijan.

Minister Mirzoyan accepted the proposal of the Russian side to hold a trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan within the framework of the session of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers to be held on May 13 in Dushanbe.
