On May 25, Deputy Foreign Minister Gagik Ghalatchian received Khaled Shawabkah, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to the office, Deputy Foreign Minister wished him a fruitful work and success during his important mission.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and kind wishes, Ambassador Shawabkah assured that he would make every effort to strengthen and deepen relations between the two friendly countries.

Highlighting the importance of the high level political dialogue as well as high level reciprocal visits of recent years, interlocutors discussed issues related to the promotion of bilateral cooperation in various spheres, the intensification of trade and economic ties, the development of tourism, the expansion of legal framework, as well as the cooperation within the framework of international platforms.

During the conversation, the parties touched upon the ongoing developments in the Middle East and the South Caucasus, as well as a number of regional issues of mutual interest.
