Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani

On April 12, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, who arrived in Yerevan as part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who is on an official visit to Armenia.

The interlocutors exchanged views on both the bilateral agenda and the issues of cooperation in multilateral formats.

The sides reiterated their mutual commitment to undertake steps towards further enhancing dynamics of the existing traditional neighborly relations, and raise the cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest to a qualitatively new level. In this regard, they have highlighted the importance of regular sectoral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.

During the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia, the issues of regional security and interconnectedness were also touched upon. Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian stressed that the use of force poses impediments towards the settlement of conflicts, disrupting regional peace and security.
