19 March, 2021

On March 19, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Avet Adonts held a video call with the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Stanislav Raščan.

During the conversation, issues related to the Armenian-Slovenian bilateral relations, as well as the cooperation on multilateral platforms were discussed, in particular, the agenda of the scheduled political consultations and the upcoming EaP summit were touched upon.

Avet Adonts presented the humanitarian situation in Artsakh and the steps being undertaken to solve urgent issues. The interlocutors expressed concern over the politicization of the humanitarian assistance process and the creation of artificial obstacles.

Avet Adonts emphasized the need to rule out continuing violations of international humanitarian, as well as human rights. In this context, the Deputy Minister considered unacceptable the violation of obligations and commitments committed by Azerbaijan, in particular, the immediate repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and detainees, the uninterrupted access to Artsakh through the Lachin corridor for humanitarian help.
