Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria

On February 26, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with Ekaterina Zakharieva, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The interlocutors highly commended the Armenian-Bulgarian relations based on historical friendship and numerous cultural ties. The sides touched upon a wide range of issues on bilateral agenda, and emphasized mutual willingness to undertake steps towards further enriching and strengthening the relations.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Bulgaria also exchanged views on the cooperation established within the framework of the EU, in this context emphasizing the entry into force of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

During the phone conversation, Foreign Ministers Aivazian and Zakharieva discussed issues of regional stability and security. Minister Aivazian drew the interlocutor's attention to the humanitarian situation in Artsakh resulting from the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression and the steps being undertaken to address it.
