Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian received the Ambassador of Sri Lanka

On February 23, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian received Meegahalande Durage Lamawansa, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, on the occasion of presenting the copy of his credentials.

Minister Ara Aivazian congratulated Ambassador Lamawansa upon the assumption of this responsible position expressing confidence that he will contribute to the further strengthening and deepening of the relations between Armenia and Sri Lanka.

Both sides expressed willingness to make every effort aimed at full realization of the potential in the areas of mutual interest. As prospective fields the sides underlined the medical education, high information technologies, culture, trade and tourism.

Minister Aivazian and Ambassador Lamawansa highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international platforms.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the issues of regional and international urgency.
