Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian received the newly appointed Ambassador of China Fan Yong

On November 19, Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian received the newly appointed Ambassador of China Fan Yong on the occasion of handing the copies of his credentials.

Minister Aivazian congratulated Fan Yong on assuming the responsible mission and expressed confidence that the newly appointed Ambassador will make a valuable contribution to maintaining the dynamics of the Armenian-Chinese multidimensional relations, as well as further expanding the bilateral agenda.

Expressing gratitude for the warm wishes, Ambassador Yong conveyed to Minister Aivazian the congratulations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi on the occasion of his appointment as Minister.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of bilateral agenda, emphasizing the need for undertaking joint steps to fully utilize the existing potential in the sphere of trade and economics.

The Foreign Minister comprehensively informed the Ambassador on the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh resulting from the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression, as well as the actions aimed at addressing it. In this regard, Minister Aivazian highlighted the importance of the possible support of the international community.

The newly appointed Chinese Ambassador stated that the official position of the People’s Republic of China remains unchanged on the final settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue exclusively through peaceful means within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
