On October 4, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a phone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia.

Foreign Ministers discussed the recent developments of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. 

The Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed the large-scale aggressive actions of Azerbaijan, resulting in deliberate targeting of the civilian population and infrastructures. 

Touching upon the destabilizing involvement of Turkey and the deployment of foreign terrorist fighters in the conflict zone with the support of the latter, the Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the immediate withdrawal of extra-regional actors. 

The foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia stressed the importance of the cessation of military actions.
