On 17 July, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a phone conversation with  Linas Linkevičius, the Foreign Minister of Lithuania.

At the request of his colleague, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented the recent developments on the escalation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as a result of the Azerbaijani operations since July 12. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed Linas Linkevičius on the details of ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces, including targeting of civilian infrastructure and population.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of preserving a sustainable ceasefire and reducing the escalation.

Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the importance of preserving regional security and stability, as well as  demonstrating responsible approach by all members of the international community in the current situation.
