Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Moldova held a video call

On June 15, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a video call with Oleg Țulea, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated his Moldovan counterpart on the occasion of assuming his position and wished him success in the important mission.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Moldova exchanged views on the steps taken at the national level towards addressing the social-economic challenges caused by COVID-19. 

Touching upon the Armenian-Moldovan bilateral relations, the interlocutors commended the positive dynamics of the dialogue and cooperation, reiterated the mutual readiness to take practical steps aimed at further broadening and deepening the bilateral agenda. In this context, further enhancement of the political dialogue at various levels, including through reciprocal visits and regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries, was particularly emphasized.

As priority directions of cooperation the Foreign Ministers highlighted the spheres of agriculture, information technologies, innovation and creative education and healthcare. Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Țulea emphasized the importance of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The interlocutors touched upon the cooperation in regional and international formats, including within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership, EAEU and BSEC.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Moldova also exchanged views on international and regional security issues.
