Zohrab Mnatsakanyan's phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi

On May 5, upon the initiative of the Armenian side, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a phone conversation with Mukhtar Tileuberdi, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan exchanged views on steps and measures undertaken at national level towards gradually addressing the challenges posed by COVID-19. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan expressed his solidarity to the friendly people of Kazakhstan in promptly overcoming the consequences of the pandemic.

Touching upon the details of the special flight to be held on May 6, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Mukhtar Tileuberdi commended the mutual support and assistance provided to the citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan while organizing their transfer to homelands.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, expressing readiness to intensify the Armenia-Kazakhstan cooperation in the areas of mutual interest through high-level visits, consultations between Foreign Ministries and meetings of intergovernmental commission.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan discussed in details bilateral and multilateral cooperation within regional and international formats, outlining steps aimed at the implementation of joint programs.

During the conversation, urgent international and regional issues were touched upon.
