On December 9-10, the delegation of the Armenian government agencies officials responsible for strategic communications visited the NATO HQ. The group included the heads of public relations departments of the Prime Minister’s Administration and Ministry of Defense, press secretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Emergency Situations, representatives of the President’s and National Assembly staffs.

Within the framework of the two-day visit, the members of delegation had meetings with the NATO International Staff senior officials, including Ambassador Tacan Ildem, Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Public Diplomacy; Mrs. Carmen Romero, Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Public Diplomacy; Ambassador Tomasz Chlon; as well as Gagik Hovhannisyan, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Armenia to NATO.

Current challenges of the realm and peculiarities of the information environment transformation were touched upon during the discussions. Among other things, the interlocutors exchanged ideas on a range of issues on countering disinformation and fake news.
