Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan participated in the ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership

On December 4, on the margins of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Conference in Bratislava, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan participated in the meeting held between Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission and the Foreign Ministers of the EaP member-states. 

The Foreign Minister of Armenia congratulated Josep Borrell on his appointment in such a responsible position and on assuming the coordination of the important directions of that setting, wishing him good luck in that important mission.

The foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the role of the Eastern Partnership as an important platform for the development of bilateral cooperation with the EU, which established collaboration between the European partners based on values of democracy and human rights. 

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented the process of large-scale reforms being implemented by the Government of Armenia based on a broad mandate of the people and aimed at strengthening the rule of law, human rights and democracy, sustainable development and implementation of judicial reforms in the country.

Armenia reiterated its readiness to continue taking practical steps towards developing relations with the EU based on mutual respect and interests. In that context, the importance of implementing the CEPA - the legal framework regulating Armenia-EU bilateral cooperation, as well as the significance of launching visa liberalization dialogue was underscored.  

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the vision of the future of Eastern Partnership.
