Meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Heads of Foreign Ministry Legal Services of the CIS states.

On November 14 and 15, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan received the participants of the 27th session of the Advisory Committee of Foreign Ministry Legal Services of the CIS states, which was held in Yerevan under the chairmanship of the Republic of Armenia for the second time. 

During the meeting, the guests presented to the Deputy Foreign Minister the topics and the results of the session discussed during the 27th regular Session of the Advisory Committee of MFA Legal Services of the CIS states.

Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the importance and productivity of such meetings in the context of multilateral cooperation of the CIS as well as in the framework of discussion of international legal issues of mutual interest.

Highlighting the commonality of the historical heritage of the CIS member-states, Shavarsh Kocharyan expressed hope that it will also contribute to the joint efforts to solve the ongoing problems. 

With the participation of representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan,  the Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee, a number of projects on the agenda of the Committee were touched upon and views were exchanged on multilateral cooperation within the CIS as well as on international legal issues of mutual interest.

An agreement was reached to deepen cooperation  between the Legal Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS member - states in the direction of exchange of experience as well as to conduct regular discussions on the issues of increasing effectiveness of the implementation of international law.

At the end of the session the chairmanship of the Committee was handed over to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
