On October 10, Artak Apitonian, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs received Jumakhon Giyosov, Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

In the course of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of mutually beneficial dialogue with the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure in the context of Armenia-SCO general cooperation. Artak Apitonian expressed the conviction that cooperation with RATS will expand the framework of multilateral engagement of Armenia in the field of anti-terrorism in addition to the UN, CIS and CSTO platforms.  

The interlocutors discussed the current situation in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan from the perspective of coordination of international efforts towards the fight against terrorism.
