Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received US Congressman Frank Pallone, the Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues

On October 4, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received US Congressman Frank Pallone, the Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues.

Expressing gratitude for the work done in the framework of the Armenian Issues Committee for the strengthening of the Armenian-American relations, Minister Mnatsakanyan noted that further expansion and deepening of the partnership and political agenda with the United States have been and remain among Armenia's top foreign policy priorities.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed Frank Pallone on the broad agenda of the reforms implemented by the Armenian Government directed to the reinforcement of democratic institutions, rule of law, the establishment of the independent judiciary and raising public confidence towards the latter. 

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of pressing issues on the international and regional agenda. Upon the request of the US Congressman, the Armenian Foreign Minister touched upon Armenia's foreign policy priorities.

Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed Congressman Pallone on the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, Armenia's approaches and principled stance, highlighting the importance of creating an environment conducive to peace, including through toning down the threats of force and bellicose rhetoric.
