Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, the newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.

On September 13, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, the newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, on the occasion of receiving the copy of her credentials.

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated the EU Ambassador on the occasion of assuming the important position and expressed his confidence that her appointment will contribute to further deepening and developing of the Armenia-EU partnership. 

Foreign Minister briefed the Ambassador on the ambitious reform agenda adopted by the Government of Armenia, highlighting the importance of EU support for its implementation.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the Armenia-EU partnership agenda. In particular, they touched upon the forthcoming high-level reciprocal visits, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the Roadmap for its implementation. The importance of taking practical steps to promote people-to-people contacts was underscored.

Parties exchanged views on the joint elaboration of the Eastern Partnership agenda from 2020 onwards. The Foreign Minister touched upon the preparations of the Yerevan Conference dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of the Eastern Partnership to be held on October 9.
