Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakayan received Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, the newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania

On September 10, Zohrab Mnatsakayan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia received Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, the newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania on the occasion of presenting the copies of credentials. 

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming the important position and expressed confidence that the newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to deepening and expanding the Armenian-Lithuanian relations.  

The Foreign Minister briefed the newly appointed Ambassador on the reform agenda of the Armenian Government and its foreign policy priorities, emphasizing the importance of creating favorable conditions for the economic revolution. In this context, the Minister emphasized the primary function of the Foreign Ministry i.e. the establishment of cooperation platforms between our businessmen and international partners in order to advance the development agenda. 

Touching upon the Armenia-EU cooperation the Minister stressed the role of the new legal framework for Armenia’s relations with the EU and its Member States-the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement which could also serve as a tool to propel the ongoing reforms in Armenia. In this context, the Minister underlined the importance of promotion of people to people contacts.

A number of important international and regional issues were discussed in detail.
