The Armenian Foreign Minister met with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR)

On July 8, within the framework of the OSCE Informal Ministerial Meeting in Slovakia, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the OSCE agenda issues, the active involvement of Armenia in three dimensions of the Organization's activity.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the OSCE/ODIHR Director touched upon the parliamentary elections held last December, highly appreciating the close cooperation with the OSCE / ODIHR during the electoral cycle.

The sides exchanged views on the ongoing reforms in Armenia aimed at promoting human rights and improving the efficiency of democratic institutions, including in the judiciary field. Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan reiterated Armenia's commitment to continue mutually beneficial cooperation with international partners aimed at promoting democratic reforms in Armenia and strengthening our achievements. Both sides highlighted the further strengthening of cooperation towards those directions within the OSCE commitments.
