24 June, 2019

On June 24, solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the democratic transition in Armenia in April-May 2018 was held in the United Nations Office at Geneva, organized by the Permanent Representation of Armenia in UN Geneva office.

Minister Mnatsakanyan delivered opening remarks and particularly noted: “This exhibition expresses the spirit of two months of Revolution, where people were truly taking their destiny in their hands, becoming a participant of an important process, where they were owners of the revolution. You will see women, children, elderlies, youth in these pictures, you will see everyone. You will also see hope and determination in the eyes of people. This was exactly the spirit that was advancing the revolution.”

“We are very proud of this revolution, because this is a revolution of people. It has been non-violent, it was peaceful, it was a revolution of love and solidarity for the strength of democracy and human rights. It is a great symbolism that this exhibition is taking place in front of this very hall, in which we collectively work towards strengthening human rights, we work together to strengthen human rights internationally,” - the Foreign Minister underscored.
