Ambassador Varuzhan Nersesyan’s remarks at the event, organized by bipartisan House Democracy Partnership Commission

On May 15 Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Varuzhan Nersesyan participated and delivered remarks at an event, organized by the bipartisan House Democracy Partnership Commission, which was aimed at summarizing the results of the Commission’s April 2019 trip to Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. Chairman of the Commission Congressman David Price, Vice President Vern Buchanan, commissioners Barbara Lee, Dina Titus and Jerry Connolly briefly spoke about the meetings they had during the visit and their outcomes, and touched upon the prospects of cooperation between the Commission and the parliaments of partner countries.

In his remarks Ambassador Varuzhan Nersesyan thanked the Representatives for their positive feedback on the democratic processes in Armenia and their commitment to support them, while expressing hope that this visit will be a crucial starting point for establishing a bilateral partnership. Ambassador Nersesyan reaffirmed the willingness of the Armenian side to partner with the Commission.
