Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ireland

On May 13, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in Brussels on a working visit, met with Simon Coveney, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ireland.

Foreign Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Coveney underscored the great potential for deepening cooperation between Armenia and Ireland in various spheres, emphasizing the mutual commitment to take practical steps to advance the dialogue, as well as to enrich the bilateral agenda. The initiation of programs aimed at exchanging experiences in spheres of high technology, innovation and creative education has been highlighted as an important direction of cooperation.

The interlocutors also commended the cooperation and reciprocal support between the two countries on the international fora. In this context, the International Organization of La Francophonie was emphasized as a format for multilateral cooperation and creating mutually beneficial contacts.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Ireland also exchanged views on the discussions held during the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership and the Ministerial meeting, emphasizing that this anniversary is a good opportunity to elaborate on the achievements reached, as well as outline the future prospects for further cooperation.

During the talks, a number of regional and international issues were also touched upon.
